Story 136

Hello, I'm Sofia, I'm 8 years old, and I want to tell you about the beginning of the war. At first I thought it was a thunderstorm, but then I realized it was something else. My mom ran into my room and told me to get dressed quickly. There was fear in her eyes, and I realized that something very serious had happened.

We went outside and I saw our neighbors running to their cars. Everyone was in a hurry, and there was panic in the air. My mom took my hand and we ran to our car, where my dad was waiting for us. On the way, I saw tanks and soldiers, and it scared me a lot.

We were going to my grandmother's house in the village. My mother tried to calm me down, saying that everything would be fine, but I could see that she was very worried herself. I remembered my room, my toys and school, and I was very sad that we had left it all behind.

When we arrived at my grandmother's house, we felt a little bit of peace, but there was still fear and uncertainty inside. Every evening we listened to the news, and I hoped that it would be over soon. The war changed our lives in an instant, but mom and dad promised that we would definitely come home. I am looking forward to this day and believe that we will live in peace again.
